Welcome to AMA. Within in this community you will find an unparalleled variety of questions, and answers, from users of all conceivable persuasions. From compassion to criticism, politics to philosophy, hardship to humour, and sex to salvation, we've got the answers you want and need.
There's an IRC channel for the community I strongly recommend you lurk in - it's on the server irc.darkmyst.org, the channel is called #ama. If you're not sure how to get there, try downloading mIRC, and read the instructions carefully. If all else fails, you can use Darkmyst's webchat, located here. For some fun statistics from the channel, check out our statistics page.
Feel free to participate in the official community Picture Post, it's not mandatory, but it helps to see who you are.
The following are entirely unofficial user-generated spin-offs, which you are of course free to join:
ama_etc - For followups to questions. If you asked a "What should I do?" question, let people know what you actually did here.
ama_offtopic - For just about anything, including a lot of the stuff you probably shouldn't waste people's time with in AMA proper..
ama_irl - For all discussion about "real life" meet-ups between AMA members.
ama_bookclub - For discussion about books, with a monthly book of choice.
ama_vlog - For members of the community to "video blog".. Check it out to see what I mean..
ama_ditl - Day In The Life - for members of the community to post photo slideshows of their days.
ama_exchange - For members of the community to exchange neat stuff, postcards, cookies, etc.
ama_artists - You know, for all you artsy types..
ama_crafts - You know, for all you crafty types..
