Gap Year in Cornwall / Gap Year in other Random Places?

Dear Brits + other AMA'ers,

My heart belongs in Cornwall (stfu it does). I have the opportunity to do (basically) whatever I want next year, and even though I know it would be random and irrational, I keep thinking of Cornwall and that I should be there. The problem is that I have no idea what gap year-esque, affordable opportunities there are. Do you think working at a resort there would suck or be cool? Any other ideas? Are there any universities around? Any sort of group programs?

Other AMA'ers - what would you do if you could move to a random place with no friends or support system for a year (assuming you find a cheap way to do it)? And/or do you have any amazing gap year ideas for me? Things that aren't AmeriCorps, PeaceCorps, TFA, or Fulbright, mainly haha.
