I have a year old Samsung laptop that's normally quite reliable, but has started doing an odd thing in the last week or so. I can connect to the wireless at my house and surf normally for a short period - about an hour or so - and then for no reason, it stops loading pages and endlessly waits for a reply. The only way to get back online properly is to clear my cache and cookies and reboot my laptop, but I'm sick of doing this pretty much every day now.
It's not the router as other people can still connect and browse, and get speeds of something like 10mbps. My virus protection is AVG and says there's nothing going on. My status says I'm still connected and there's clearly data being recieved, but none of it is loading on the webpage. Changing browsers doesn't fix it. I stream rather than download things and can't think of any programme I've added in the last week or so that might be causing it.
I'm at a complete loss as to why I can start off with a perfectly good connection and then lose it all of a sudden, and I don't even know how to start Googling tech forums for this.
Any ideas, AMA?
