As far as I am aware, 48 states allow self-service fueling. The other two are New Jersey and Oregon, where self-service is illegal.
This offends me, because I interpret this as the states not trusting their citizens to be responsible enough to gas up their own vehicles. Does anyone here have a better explanation?
