Yesterday my housemate got called into the office with all other managers and told their incentive/bonus scheme has been cancelled. This sucks. However, the money was due to be in their accounts today. Their contracts state they must have a month's written notice of any changes to their pay/hours/schedule etc. (I'm not sure what it says in relation to bonus/target incentives specifically and he's not in to ask for more details).
Everyone is angry at the lack money but also the short notice (and I imagine several people have spent the money already). The other two offices closed a few months ago so their workload has tripled and yet they're still 20% over the targeted profit.
So... Reckon they can do anything? I'm not overly hopeful but by the time he was done ranting last night it was making me cross for him and I don't like feeling so useless :-/
