Game design and sexism

I've followed Dr. Nerdlove's articles on "Nerds and Male Privilege" with quite a bit of interest. Part 1 can be found here, and Part 2 was also published recently on Kotaku.

In Part 2, he makes the argument that "There are a number of female characters – sadly, a relatively small number – who manage to be strong, fully realized and sexy characters without wearing stripper-tastic costumes."

Now, I love Dr. Nerdlove, but I think he's missing the point a little bit here. There are many male characters in games who are "strong, fully realized" characters - but skip the "sexy" part. For instance, there are a fair number of male characters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" (my current gaming obsession) that are amazing but completely unsexualized, such as Sentinel, M.O.D.O.K., Doctor Doom, Taskmaster, etc. Not to say that someone couldn't conceivably find these characters sexy, but the fact is they are not presented as such.

The same can't be said of the female characters.

So here's my question - do you know of any female gaming characters that are not presented as "sexy"? I know of some that are dressed a little more modestly, but none that are presented as just "strong, fully realized" characters minus the sexualization.
